 The Importance of Theories:

Theories are the teacher`s arsenals and the foundation for learning and teaching. Learning about theories and being exposed to different sets of them arms the teacher different strategies and effective ways to meet the learning needs of learners.

Theories are very essential in education they give us a deeper incite about the learners` background and knowledge in addition, they give us a guide of different techniques and methods that might come in handy in enhancing the learning process in the classroom.

The point and the supreme goal behind the theoretical exposure is to raise consciousness and awareness of issues that are related to teaching and learning. As future teachers, once you step to your classroom you will find yourself demonstrating one theory or a combination of theories (bits and pieces from here and there) you advocated from the educational field. And once you gain experience you will modify your theory to meet the students` needs so you will have a refined one to work with.

There are three things to remember about education. The first is motivation. The second one is motivation. The third one is motivation. (former U.S. Secretary of Education Terrel Bell).
Motivation has been always a major concern for educators. It’s always viewed as a primary and essential factor due to its importance in the educational environment. Motivation has several effects on students` learning and behavior since it`s the need or the desire that energizes, directs, and sustains behavior toward a certain goal (Hancock, 2004).

Students came to schools intrinsically motivated. They have this strong desire to learn and discover new things throughout their academic journey. They came to us with high self-esteem and high expectations about learning and education in general. But unfortunately teachers, school system and school curriculum sometimes play an important and major role in demotivating and frustrating students.

So this lack of motivation affects our students and appears to increase each year from cycle one to high school. Students can demonstrate and show this lack of motivation and encouragement by blocking and withholding efforts in the educational field as well as in some extracurricular activities or mind games and competitions.
therefore, we need to create, provide and inspire the conditions and keys for the growth of motivation in our students.

Languages are made up of different systems. These systems contribute in giving it meaning and sense as well. One of the important language system is syntax. Syntax refers to the study of rules that give the correct word order in the sentence so that grammaticality will be correct.

Syntax is greatly intertwined with teaching. When we talk about teaching a correct formation of sentence structure, syntax pops in. Additionally, one major quality for a teacher to possess in the teaching profession is that she should balance her qualities between knowledge and skills of teaching. In other words, teaching is the profession that includes the art and science of teaching. And this absolutely could be related to syntax too. Since syntax is a cognitive science i.e. a cover term for a group of disciplines that all have the same goal which is actually describing and explaining human`s ability to think more about abstract notions.
